How To Fix Candle Sweating

by | published

Are your candles sweating too much? Try one of our luxury wax blends, specially formulated to not sweat and maintain an excellent fragrance throw!

Today on Maker’s Moments, we will be teaching you the cause of candle sweating and how you can prevent it from affecting your candles.

This annoying candle issue occurs when there are little beads of oily residue or “sweat”, left on the surface of the candle. Occasionally, in a container candle, there can even be a puddle!

Candle sweating is caused by a combination of things! 100% soy candles are known for sweating! Sweating most commonly occurs during temperature changes. It can also be a result of too much fragrance oil.

NOTE: Sweating does not affect performance or quality of the candle.

If you want to stick with 100% soy candles, you do you! However, we do suggest trying a blend like our coco creme wax. Some soy blends are also great and cause less sweating. Adding some paraffin into your soy wax is also a great option. Be sure to add your fragrance at the right temperature and to the right amount of wax. Store your candles in a dry and cool environment.

Good luck makers!
