- This wax works really great for my candles but I'm not seeing the same for my wax melts. I've tried just about everything, but the wax melts keep breaking and I can't figure out why. Any pointers to preventing the wax melts from breaking? would you suggest adding a hardener to the wax? If so, what kind? Thanks
- Hi Saavedra. You can try putting the melt in the refrigerator to harden it before taking it out of the mold!
- What temperature do you recommend for pouring wax into the jar? I’ve been mixing around 180 and letting it cool to about 135 before pouring.
- Hi Sasha, Usually anywhere between 160-180 is okay. Make sure you are being cautious of your fragrance oils flashpoint too :)
- I love the deluxe satin soy wax but I’m curious how much fragrance percentage do most people use when making candles with this wax? I make a 10oz candle and my candles aren’t super strong. I think I’m using too much (12%) and the fragrance is burning off. Help!
- Hi Alisa, Most makers use between 8-10%. If you feel like your fragrance is burning off, you might be exceeding the oils flashpoint.
