Wood Wicks Vs Cotton Wicks, What's The Difference?

by | published

Ever wonder what the difference is between setting up wood wicks and cotton wicks? This video is for you!

As a candle maker, wooden wicks are simply easier to use. Since wooden wicks are rigid, they require no setting with a wick bar, no straightening or fidgeting with. Set-up is super simple, requiring only setting them in the wick clip and placing them in the vessel with a wick sticker.

When assembling a cotton wick, you will need to roll the wick around a wick bar to keep it straight when pouring your wax. This is messy, cumbersome, and requires a little extra finesse.
