Rose Essential Oil Absolute Aromatherapy Recipes

Rose essential oil absolute is a versatile ingredient used in perfumery, candle making, skin and body care and other home fragrance products. It's believed to have properties that enhance moods, reduce stress & promote emotional well-being. Sounds lovely, right?

Our experts whipped up a few recipes using our new rose essential oil absolute to help inspire creativity and take the guesswork out of creating luxurious aromatherapy products for your line. 

rose essential oil absolute body cream recipe 

 Makes (1) 200ml rose body cream

 Ingredients

• 1 6.7oz/ 200ml frosted glass & bamboo jar
• 4g rose essential oil absolute 
• 196g ultra milky body cream base

mixing instructions:

1. Clean your workspace. 
2. Measure out 4 grams of the rose essential oil absolute
3. Measure out 196 grams of the ultra milky body cream base (or body cream base of your choosing)
4. Combine the rose essential oil absolute with the ultra milky body cream base and stir together until the oils blend with the base
5. Carefully pour the mixture into the 200ml frosted glass & bamboo jar and seal on the lid

 Makes (1) 2.5oz aura candle 

 Ingredients & tools

• 1 2.5oz aura candle - iridescent blush 
• 2.125oz virgin coconut soy candle wax  
• .375oz rose essential oil absolute
• 1 ultimate wood wick - .02" x .25"
• 1 flat wood wick clips
• 1 wick sticker
• 1 0.75in warning label
• 1 black pouring pitcher
• bamboo mixing spoon
• optional: wax melter  

mixing instructions:

1. Gather your ingredients & tools listed above
2. Begin by melting your wax in the wax melter till it reaches the recommended temperature (180°-192°F / 82°-88°C) for virgin coconut soy wax
3. While the wax is melting, start setting up your vessel by applying your wick clip, wick sticker and placing your wick in the middle of your candle vessel 
4. Measure your essential oil load. (We suggest using a 12-15% load with rose absolute.) For this specific recipe, we are going to use a 15% essential oil load in a 2.5oz candle vessel. This would be .375oz of essential oil. (use our fragrance percentage chart for help)
5. Once the wax is ready to be mixed with the rose essential oil absolute, put your pitcher on a scale and transfer the needed amount of wax to the pitcher. (If we are using .375 oz of essential oil, we would use 2.125oz of wax.)
6. Pour your essential oil into your wax and stir for ~ 2 min
7. Once rose essential oil absolute is mixed in with the wax, pour the mixture into your 2.5oz aura vessel
8. Let it rest for 24 hours, trim the wick, add your warning label and it will be ready to burn!

 Makes (1) 5oz mod diffuser 

 Ingredients & tools

• 1 5oz mod diffuser 
• 1 sola flower diffuser reeds - rose 
• 2oz rose essential oil absolute 
• 3oz coco purefuse reed diffuser base
• 1 glass pouring pitcher
• 1 pro digital scale
• 1 stainless steel funnel 
• optional: eco dyes

mixing instructions:

1. Gather the ingredients & tools listed above
2. Measure out your base, we used a 3/2 ratio, 3oz diffuser base, 2oz rose essential oil absolute 
3. In the glass bowl, mix your diffuser base and rose absolute
4. Grab your funnel and pour into your diffuser vessel
5. Add your sola flower reeds and ~ 10 drops (0.01850z) of eco dye if desired
