How To Make A Wooden Wick Candle Using Deluxe Satin Soy Wax

by | published

Curious about our deluxe satin soy wax? Mel is here to talk all about the benefits of using our new wax! In this video, Mel will go over how to make your own candle using our deluxe satin soy wax and also explain all the amazing stuff this wax can do for you :)

The deluxe satin soy wax is a great, vegan, beginner-friendly wax to make candles with. It also has a heat antioxidant which protects your wax and candles from discoloration!

To start making this candle, you are going to need to set up a double boiler (or your wax melter). We are going to be using our copper aura vessel today and the birch bark and ripe fig sapling fragrance as well as smokey quartz points and citrine mini chips for decoration at the end.

For the wax, we are going to be using 11oz of the deluxe satin soy wax today, so you are going to measure that out first and then begin melting. While that melts, assemble the wooden wick. Today, we are using the 0.3 crackling booster wick which is also the wick that is meant for our deluxe satin soy wax. Use your typical wick clip and wick sticker (which you can also find on our site) to place the wick at the bottom of the vessel.

Next, you are going to measure the fragrance on the scale and we are aiming for a 10% fragrance load so that equates to about 1.1oz of fragrance. Once this is measure, pour the fragrance into the melted wax (which should be between 160-180 degrees Fahrenheit) and stir for approximately 2 minutes.

Once combines, pour your candle, leaving about a half inch at the top of the vessel. Let it sit for 24 hours before trimming the wick to about 0.2 inches and using your heat gun to add in the mini chips and crystals. You can watch a video on how to make a crystal candle here!
