How To Promote And Sell Your Candles Online

by | published

In this video, our president Charlotte shares her top 4 tips for marketing your candles online in order to reach new audiences!

1) Know your market- Before you start, it is super important to know who you are targeting with your campaigns. Are they more into luxury or eco-friendly candles? Knowing what your audience wants is the most important factor to consider in order to make sure that your marketing efforts are working. Once you have an idea of your niche, you can begin to think about what platforms you are going to use.

2) Platforms- Social media is an amazing resource to use when selling candles. Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest can also be used to advertise your products. For example, you can post your different candles on Pinterest, but make sure to engage with other users as well. Engaging with your audience is the best way to get them interested and thinking about your products.

3) Paid ads- Consider using paid ads to draw attention and new customers to your website or product listings. Google ads is a great place to start! They allow you to gain impressions, promote brand awareness, as well as attract new customers. They also allow for direct conversions to your site. If you are new to the paid ads world, we would recommend you to use the Google smart campaign. That way, Google does most of the work for you if you are not familiar with the algorithms just yet. Make sure to keep your ad running for up to 2 weeks before making any alterations so that you can see how the campaign is working while giving Google an opportunity to also see what works and what doesn't. If you are working with Etsy, their paid ads are also something worth looking into. They are super simple and deal with selecting keywords in order to reach new users and have your products show up at the top of the search bar.

4) Farmers markets and trade shows- If you are new to selling your candles, try going to local farmers markets as well as trade shows in order to gain new clients as well as become a familiar face to customers. These client relationships go a long way in marketing your products. There are lots of events that happen annually, so make sure to check them out and sign up early.

Good luck!!
