How To Use Eco Wool Dryer Balls
If you haven’t heard of our eco wool dryer balls yet, we’re excited to introduce you. Eco wool dryer balls are our favorite natural home cleaning buddy.
They’re a fresh, eco-friendly way of drying your laundry and offer several benefits compared to traditional fabric softeners and dryer sheets.
benefits of eco wool dryer balls
Eco wool dryer balls shorten the amount of time it takes to dry your laundry, reduce static cling, fluff your clothes, and save your skin from toxic chemicals found in dryer sheets and liquid fabric softeners.
They’re also beneficial for our planet because they’re biodegradable. Yay for clean-green home cleaning tools!
Eco wool dryer balls are also a nice little money saver since they’re reusable for up to about 1,000 loads! They usually last about 2-5 years depending on how much laundry you do. T
o top it off, these little eco-cleaning beauties are hypoallergenic and made from 100% premium New Zealand wool where happy, fluffy sheep are sheared in a cruelty-free environment.
The best part about our all-natural eco wool dryer balls is the customization you can do with fragrance! They can be used with or without an added scent and still provide wholesome freshness. If you’d like your laundry to smell deliciously clean, you are welcome to get creative and add a fresh fragrance of your choice.
how to use eco wool dryer balls
Here's our go to formula:
Step 1
Pick a color. You can choose from black or creme here.
Step 2
Choose a fun + fresh fragrance! We highly recommend one of these fresh scents from maksey’s home care collection:
- Pamplemousse & fresh sheets
- Cotton blossom & tuberose
- Luxe linens & verbena Mist
- Moon flowers & vanilla clouds
If you want to level up your laundry, try adding an odor counteractant fragrance that takes the yucky scents out of extra dirty clothes:
- Shishi yuzu & sea salt
- Poppy petals & patchouli
- Petitgrain & lemongrass leaves
- Chamomile flowers & lavandin
Step 3
Add a few drops of the fragrance oil to your eco wool balls and let them dry for about an hour before using them to dry laundry for their first use. If you scent them while you are putting the clothes in the wash, they’ll be ready to go for dry time!
You can also throw them in the dryer by themselves so the fragrance dries quicker, however, this may stain your eco wool balls depending on the type of oil used.
Step 4
Throw your fresh new natural cleaning eco wool balls in the dryer with your (endless) loads of laundry. For a smaller load of laundry, 2-3 balls are the perfect amount.
Add more balls as you see fit when drying larger loads of clothes - they come in packs of 6 so you have plenty to work with. You’ll see the benefits of using your new eco cleaning product right away as your clothes will be soft, fluffy, and freshly scented when you pull them out of the dryer.
