What Is In A Wick Sample Kit?

If you are reading this post, you have either ordered a wick sample kit, or are thinking of ordering one. If you are new to making wooden wick candles, some of the terminology .02, .03, “crackling”, “whisper”, “booster” might be confusing, so be sure to read our blog post on wooden wick types for clarification. 

To put it simply, he decimal numbers are the thickness or width of the wick. Each wick sample kit contains a variety which make them ideal for testing. Here is what you will receive in your wood wick sample kit!

You receive four of each wick type in the following widths: .375”, .5”, .625”, .75” each 5" tall: 

• The Ultimate Wick .02″ x 5" tall x 4 wicks of each width
• The Ultimate Wick .03″ x 5" tall x 4 wicks of each width
• The Ultimate Wick .04″ x 5" tall x 4 wicks of each width
• The Crackling Single-Ply .02″ x 5" tall x 4 wicks of each width
• The Crackling Single-Ply .03″ x 5" tall x 4 wicks of each width
• The Crackling Booster Wick .02″ x 5" tall x 4 wicks of each width
• The Crackling Booster Wick .03″ x 5" tall x 4 wicks of each width
• The Crackling Booster Wick .04″ x 5" tall x 4 wicks of each width
• The Whisper Single-Ply Wick .02″ x 5" tall x 4 wicks of each width
