Get your hands extra clean with a fun holiday soap recipe! This homemade soap project blends our translucent, organic melt and pour soap base with a natural fragrance that captures the essence of winter. Notes of pink juniper berry, bergamot, and fresh alpine air mix with iridescent pearl mica to bring this soap project to life.

To top off your dreamy winterland handmade soap, you’ll add bright and cheery green juniper sprigs. Lather your own hands in these wonderfully scented suds or sell them as part of your holiday collection. Either way, you'll get all the enjoyment and creative pleasure of making soap at home.

why we love this melt & pour soap recipe

Our organic coco clear melt & pour soap base is an organic blend of sustainably sourced coconut and palm oils recommended for all skin types. This unique soap base is completely translucent, making it perfect for creative makers to customize it with all kinds of enhancers.

Coconut oil is a staple in many soap and body care formulations because of its fantastic ability to cleanse, soften, and protect the skin. Cloudberry & balsam fragrance oil blends pink juniper berry, balsam, bergamot, clove, and fresh alpine air for a true holiday sensation.

Juniper sprigs are wonderful for treating acne prone skin and are a potent detoxifier. These deep green sprigs have great anti-inflammatory properties and will heal and protect the skin while adding a gorgeous green hue to any project.

The final touch, pearl mica, adds pearlescent and iridescent pigment with soft and silken luster to candles, soaps, body care, and more. You'll create the soaps in this recipe with our reusable, dishwasher safe silicone oval cavity mold that makes 4 soaps at a time.

Step 2

Put your organic coco clear melt & pour soap base into your pitcher and warm it in the microwave or over a double boiler until it fully melts. If you opt for the microwave (which is typically more convenient), remember to heat in 30-second increments. Once the base has melted, transfer it to your large glass pouring pitcher.

Step 6

Sprinkle your juniper sprigs on the top layer of each bar of soap until you achieve your desired look. You’ll want to do this right after you pour your soap into your mold because melt & pour soap does start to cure quickly.

Step 7

Let your soap cure! One of the nicest things about melt & pour soap is that the cure time is significantly shorter than when making cold process soap. We recommend letting this one cure for at least 12 hours.
